Must have at least 5 years' experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury environment. ï‚· Italian cuisine experience at a high level is a MUST (Pasta And Napoli pizza ..etc.) ï‚· Culinary degree preferred but not necessary ï‚· Reading, writing, and verbal proficiency in the English language. ï‚· Experience leading a kitchen team of 15+ employees. ï‚· Thorough knowledge of food handling practices including a food protection certificate ï‚· Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and coach a dynamic team.RESPONSIBILITIES: ï‚· Develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand. ï‚· Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs. ï‚· Estimates daily restaurant production needs. ï‚· Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. ï‚· Determines how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays. ï‚· Ensure that kitchen activities operate in a timely manner. ï‚· Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example. ï‚· Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies. ï‚· Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products. ï‚· Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. ï‚· Serving as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors. ï‚· Ensuring and maintaining the productivity level of employees. ï‚· Recruit and train new kitchen employees to meet restaurant and kitchen standards and Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating. ï‚· Sets and supports achievement of kitchen goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc. ï‚· Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate their performance. ï‚· Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines ï‚· Assists as needed in the interviewing and hiring of employee team members with appropriate skills.
